Due to daily usage and age, repairs may be necessary for your hearing aids. Repairs may range from simple common repairs to more extensive damage repairs.
Your Simi Valley or Thousand Oaks audiologist will discuss common repairs with you that you may do yourself. Repairs such as replacing batteries, removing and inserting the hearing aid, cleaning, replacing wax filter, opening and closing the battery compartment, and checking the input settings.
If common repairs do not work, your hearing aid may be damaged and you should contact your audiologist for further evaluation. Repair costs vary depending on your hearing aid’s warranty, extent of the damage, and cost of replacement parts. We offer repairs on all makes and models with loaner hearing aids available when necessary.
If your hearing aid is damaged beyond repair, it may be totaled. A totaled hearing aid requires replacement and may be applicable if your aid is more than five years old, damage is visible and extensive, or your hearing aid has been repaired several times in the past.
