My 83-year-old ears have seen — and heard — a good deal of the world…from factory noise, too much loud jazz to overseas, close-at-hand gun fire. So, hearing aids became part of my anatomy five years ago.

I just regret I didn’t meet Dr. Ellen Baker earlier.

I say that because the hearing aids I purchased at one of the big box stores turned out to be a dead loss. After spending all that money, I still could hardly understand a conversation 10 feet away…distinguish a D from a G or a P from an F…that is until now.

In the past, my most common complaints were: I’m sorry could you please repeat that… Excuse me, but could you come a little closer… to why is the volume on the TV always so low?

After a lengthy hearing test, Dr. Baker fitted me with Oticon hearing aids…and within moments my world changed (I can even understand conversations with those wearing masks).
